Kerala Assembly Elections Richest candidate: While the political contest is intensifying in the Kerala Assembly elections 2026, the property of the candidates has also become a big topic of discussion. The affidavits filed during nomination have revealed that many candidates own properties worth crores. At the top of this list is the name of Rajiv Chandrashekhar, who is the candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Rajeev Chandrashekhar is the richest candidate
Rajeev Chandrashekhar is contesting from Nemom seat of Thiruvananthapuram. He has declared his total assets to be around Rs 93.88 crore. Of this, approximately Rs 78.81 crore is in the form of movable assets i.e. cash, investments and other assets. The rest is his immovable property.
Other big candidates are also millionaires
Many other big leaders with assets worth crores are also contesting in this election. Indian Union Muslim League leader P.K. Kunhalikutty has declared assets worth around Rs 3.04 crore and is contesting from Malappuram seat. After him is the name of Ramesh Chennithala (Congress) whose assets are worth Rs 2.65 crore.
Senior Congress leader V.D. Satheesan has assets worth about Rs 1.01 crore. Whereas CPM leader R. Bindu is the owner of property worth Rs 2.14 crore.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has declared his assets to be around Rs 1.01 crore. Whereas Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K. Mani has assets worth approximately Rs 2.09 crore.
Apart from this, CPM’s K. N. Balagopal (1.94 crore), BJP’s Shobha Surendran (about 1.94 crore) and Kerala Congress (M)’s Roshi Augustine (1.84 crore) are also included in this list.
