Kerala News: After the death of 10-month-old baby Alin Sherin Abraham in a road accident in Mallappally in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, his organs were donated, giving a new life to five people waiting for organ donation. This news touched the hearts of people all over Kerala.
Information has been received that on February 5 at 2.30 pm, this child was going from Kottayam to Tiruvalla with his mother, grandfather and grandmother. While passing through MC Road, a car coming from the opposite direction hit the child’s car. In this, child Alin Sherin Abraham, his mother, grandfather and grandmother were all injured.
Death was due to brain deadness
Police reached the spot and rescued the people trapped in the accident and sent them to the hospital for treatment. The child, Alin Sherin Abraham, who was first admitted to hospitals in Sanganachery and Tiruvalla, was given intensive care, but as his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Amrita Hospital in Kochi on February 7 and was undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, after a week of treatment, on February 13, doctors announced that the child Alin Sherin Abraham was brain dead. This news caused great grief in the child’s family.
The parents were deeply shocked by this incident. Meanwhile, the doctors said that if you agree, your child’s organs will be donated and through this, 5 people will start their new life. Through this you will be able to see your child. After this, father Arun Abraham and mother Sherin Ann John agreed to donate the child’s organs.
5 children got new life due to Alin’s organ donation
After this, the work of removing the organs was done at Amrita Hospital in Ernakulam. Accordingly, one liver, two kidneys, one heart and two eyes were obtained. This liver has been transplanted into a 6-month-old child undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Both the kidneys of a child undergoing treatment at the Pediatric Nephrology Ward of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital and the heart of a child at Sree Chitra Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram have been transplanted. Through this organ donation, child Alin Sherin Abraham has become the youngest organ donor in Kerala. Many people are giving solace and good wishes to the child’s family.
