Lara Dutta, stuck in Dubai with her 14-year-old daughter, returned to India, said – ‘It felt like shooting for Airlift 2’

Recently, actresses like Sonal Chauhan, Esha Gupta returned safely to India. Now actress Lara Dutta has also returned to India after being stuck in Dubai for a long time. As soon as Lara returned, she shared her experience and told how terrible these days have been.

Lara narrated her ordeal
Lara Dutta was stranded in Dubai with her 14 year old daughter Saira. He had told about this by sharing a video on social media. Now after returning, the actress spoke to HT and told about her experience. The actress told that when the attacks were taking place, she was alone with her daughter in Dubai and her husband was in London. The actress had to stay with her family, hence she took a risk of driving two hours and reached Fujairah.

‘We were feeling very scared’
The actress told, ‘We lived just 10 kilometers away from Jebel Ali Port of Dubai, and there was bombing every day. So we thought of taking the risk, because I had to be with my husband and family. We drove two hours to Fujairah. Just a day before, bombs were dropped on Fujairah Port and its oil refinery. I was very scared, I will not lie.

Felt like ‘Airlift 2’
The actress further said, ‘I was joking with my co-star Akshay Kumar that it seemed as if we were shooting for Airlift 2. We were hearing the sound of bomb explosions at the airport, we were just praying that nothing would hit us. Salute to the airlines also. I am sure that my daughter will definitely have some trauma after this incident.

Why did you share the video?
The actress had shared a video on Instagram to tell about her being stuck in Dubai. Explaining the reason for this, the actress said, ‘Maybe others might find this stupid, but I was going to go back alone with my daughter. This was going to be a very dangerous journey for me and we really did not know what was going to happen next. No one had ever seen anything like this in UAE. I had put that video because there was just 1% thought in my mind that maybe this could be the last video of my life that will go out.
