Laxminarayan Global Music Festival: Grand event of music in Kolkata, Kazakhstan and Indian artists participated

Just two days before Saraswati Puja, a very beautiful musical program Lakshminarayan Global Music Festival took place in Kolkata. This program took place in Tala Pratyaya in North Kolkata, where the stage was decorated in the park itself. That’s why it was called ‘Music in a Park’. The entire program took place in front of the idol of Goddess Saraswati and a small fair was also organized nearby in the moonlight night.

Kavita Krishnamurthy tied the knot with music

Big artists participated in this program. Famous violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam played his old composition ‘Shantipriya’, which he composed in the 1980s. This time, Gakkhu Ballet Group of Kazakhstan also gave a dance performance along with it. His ‘Navgrah Symphony’ was also played, in which the chorus of Kazakhstan sang. Indian singer Kavita Krishnamurthy also mesmerized everyone with her music. Tanmay Bose on tabla, V.V. on mridangam. Swaminathan Selvaganesh supported Ramanmurthy and Kanjira.

Music unites people of different languages

The special thing was that the Astana Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and their Chamber Corps from Kazakhstan had come to Kolkata for the first time on such a large scale. Such a beautiful combination of Indian classical music, folk music and music-dance of Kazakhstan was seen for the first time. Languages ​​were different, countries were different, but music united everyone. The audience clapped a lot and enjoyed a lot.

Kolkata Mayor Farhad Hakim and Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty were also present there. Kavita Krishnamurthy said that Kolkata is a city of music and culture. It always feels good to perform here and singing in front of Goddess Saraswati was even more special. Dr. L. Subramaniam told that the people of Kolkata understand both classical and orchestral music very well. Since the idol of Goddess Saraswati was behind, it seemed as if she was giving blessings.

This is the fourth edition of the festival.

Organizer of this event, Dhruvjyoti Basu said that this is the fourth year of the festival. Every year such a program is organized before Saraswati Puja so that Bengali culture gets a new look and Kolkata gets a chance to give something new and different. The whole atmosphere was as if a big cultural fair was taking place. The music touched everyone’s heart without any language and the evening became memorable for everyone.
