The actual situation is different amidst many news spreading regarding the prices of petrol and diesel in Telangana. At present, there has been no new increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in the state and the fuel prices have remained at the normal level as before, but the big news affecting the common people is the increase in the prices of domestic LPG and strict booking rules.
After the latest amendment, the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder has increased from Rs 905 to Rs 965 in many districts of Hyderabad and Telangana, i.e. an increase of Rs 60 in one stroke. According to energy companies, this increase has been made due to the pressure of energy prices in the international market and the unstable situation in West Asia.
What are the new rules for cylinder booking?
Not only has the price increased, but the rules for gas booking have also been changed. Now the consumer will have to wait at least 25 days after receiving the first cylinder, only then the second cylinder can be booked. This new rule has been implemented by oil marketing companies to prevent panic overbooking and hoarding.
Due to this change, consumers in many areas may have to wait longer than before at gas agencies. Whereas, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder used in hotels, restaurants and dhabas has also increased. At present its price in Hyderabad is around Rs 2,105.50 per cylinder.
Apart from this, the 47.5 kg commercial cylinder has reached around Rs 4,900.50. Hotels, sweet shops and small eateries are likely to be most affected by the increase in the price of commercial gas, as there is a direct increase in their expenses.
Kitchen budget will deteriorate due to increase in cylinder price
Haris business is done at very high payment in Ramzan, now 11 days are left for the end of Ramzan, the price of Haris is around Rs 300 to 400. Due to increase in the price of commercial gas, there is a possibility of increase in the prices of Haris and other things.
Due to cost of domestic gas and long gap between bookings, there is a possibility of kitchen budget getting spoiled for many families. Especially the middle class and daily wage families may have to face its impact the most. At present, it has been clarified by the government and oil companies that the supply of gas is normal, but due to international conditions, fluctuations in prices are possible.
