Luthra Brothers, the main accused in the Goa Night Club fire case, will soon be brought to Goa. According to sources, a team of Goa Police will leave for Delhi late tonight. There the custody of Luthra Brothers will be formally taken from the central agencies and they will be handed over to Goa Police.
Goa Police will receive Luthra Brothers from Delhi itself
Police officials have clarified that the Goa Police team is not going to Thailand. The custody of the accused will be taken from Delhi only. As per the schedule, Luthra Brothers can reach Goa late night tomorrow i.e. on 16th December. As soon as he reaches Goa, he will be taken directly to Anjuna Police Station for further questioning.
Appearance of the accused on 17th December
It is reported that the accused are likely to be presented in Mapusa court on 17th December. In this matter, the Goa government has formed a special legal team for swift and effective action. Officers from the Law Department and Prosecution Department have been included in this team, so that strong advocacy can be done in the court. Police have registered the case under section 105 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). There is a provision of punishment up to 10 years if found guilty in this section.
Police collecting evidence against Luthra Brothers
The investigating officers are collecting evidence related to all possible violations. On the basis of this evidence, a strong charge sheet will be prepared, so that a solid case can be made against the accused. This case is related to the fire incident in Anjuna, in which serious allegations of violation of safety rules have been made. The police team is rapidly carrying forward the investigation.
Thais flee after nightclub fire
Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, co-owners of ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub in North Goa, fled to Phuket, Thailand soon after the fire incident. Interpol’s ‘Blue Corner’ notice has been issued against him.
