Madhavi Lata On AIMIM: BJP leader Madhavi Lata lashed out at AIMIM, said – ‘The real meaning of Ramzan…’

Madhavi Lata targeted AIMIM and raised questions regarding Iftar programs. Removing the posters of an Iftar event, he said that the real meaning of Ramzan is sacrifice, worship and helping the needy, but today in many places Iftar has been limited to mere show and big events.

Madhavi Lata said that the month of Ramzan is the time to help people and feed the hungry. The real purpose of Iftar is to provide food to the needy people at the time of breaking the fast and to support them in their sorrows and pain. He said that nowadays Iftar parties are held in big banquet halls in many places, where bright lights, VIP invitation cards and lakhs of rupees are spent. According to him, such events do not match the spirit of Ramzan and have become just a show off.

Madhavi Lata raised questions

Madhavi Lata raised the question that when many poor families do not have enough food to break the fast, then what is the point of holding Iftar parties in expensive hotels and big halls. He also said that if the needy children and poor families of the society are helped then that will be the real iftar and real service. Madhavi Lata said that the real charity and zakat is that which can light a stove in a poor house and bring a smile on the face of a needy child. He said that organizing events only for taking photographs and for publicity does not benefit the society.

Madhavi Lata’s statement created an uproar

Controversy has also arisen over this step of Madhavi Lata. Some people are calling it a political statement, while his supporters say that the month of Ramzan is a time of simplicity and truth and instead of showing off, priority should be given to helping the needy.
