Maharashtra ANTF’s big action in Bengaluru, three MD drugs factories destroyed, goods worth Rs 55 crore seized

The Anti Acidic Substances Task Force (ANTF) of the Maharashtra Government has taken major and decisive action against MD Drugs in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. In this operation, three illegal factories of MD Drugs located in Bengaluru were completely destroyed and goods worth more than Rs 55 crore 88 lakh were seized.

Currently ANTF has 7 regional offices functioning in Maharashtra. Anti-drug trafficking campaigns are being run continuously. On December 21, 2025, Konkan Pathak of ANTF arrested Abdul Kader Rashid Shaikh by raiding the old bus depot area near Pune-Mumbai Highway in Vashi village of Navi Mumbai. 1 kg 488 grams of MD drugs were recovered from him. Its price was estimated at Rs 1 crore 48 lakh 80 thousand. A case has been registered in this matter at Vashi police station.

During investigation and technical analysis, it came to light that the main accused manufacturing MD drugs is Prashant Yallappa Patil (resident of Belgaum). Investigation revealed that MD drugs were being produced at three different locations in Bengaluru.

The accused, resident of Rajasthan, arrested from Bengaluru

Police reached Bengaluru and detained Suraj Ramesh Yadav and Malkhan Ramlal Bishnoi, who were running illegal drugs business in Bengaluru. Both of them are said to be from Rajasthan. On the trail of the accused, the police raided the factories of MD Drugs running in Spandana Layout Colony, NG Golahalli area of ​​Bengaluru, a factory named RJ Event in NG Golahalli area, and a residential RCC house in Yerrapanahalli, Kannur area. 4 kg 100 grams of solid MD, 17 kg of liquid MD, i.e. a total of 21 kg 400 grams of MD drugs, machinery for making drugs and various chemicals were recovered from these three places.

The value of the goods was estimated at Rs 55 crore.

The total value of the seized goods has been estimated at Rs 55 crore 88 lakh 90 thousand. The police destroyed all three MD drugs factories on the spot. Investigation has also revealed that MD drugs prepared in these factories were being supplied to many states of India. With the money earned from this, the accused had purchased a large amount of immovable properties in Bengaluru. So far, 4 accused have been arrested in this case, while special squads are active to arrest the 2 main accused.
