A major plane accident has come to light in the central part of Mexico. At least seven people died when a small private plane crashed while attempting an emergency landing. After the accident, there was chaos in the area and the administration immediately started relief and rescue operations.

According to Mexico State Civil Protection Coordinator Adrien Hernandez, the accident occurred in San Mateo Atenco, an industrial area located about five kilometers from Toluca Airport and about 50 kilometers west of Mexico City. The plane was coming from Acapulco.

Immediately after the accident, fire brigade and rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Ana Muniz, mayor of San Mateo Atenco, told Milenio Television that due to the seriousness of the fire, about 130 people in the surrounding areas were evacuated to safe places.
