In view of the Assam Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee has started opening her cards. In this series, TMC has released the first list of 17 candidates. All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released its first list of candidates in Assam on Friday. This announcement has been made under the guidance of the party’s national president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Assam Pradesh Trinamool Congress has announced candidates for a total of 17 assembly seats. These include candidates from various districts and reserved seats. TMC has fielded Udangasri Narjarri from Baokhungri seat (AC 4) in Kokrajhar district, Mominnur Islam from Bilasipara (AC 10) in Dhubri district, Arif Akhtar Ahmed from Jaleswar (AC 12) in Goalpara district, Kaushik Ranjan Das from Abhayapuri (AC 16) in Bongaigaon district and Bajali district. Kalyani Kalita has been made the candidate from Bajali (AC 26).

These will be in the field in Tinsukia and Kamrup districts
Apart from this, the party has fielded Dulu Ahmed from Chamaria (AC 27) of Kamrup district, Bhoglal Rabha from Boko-Chaygaon (ST) (AC 28) of Kamrup district, Amirul Islam from Barkhetri (AC 38) of Nalbari district, Rajan Chauhan from Goreswar (ST) (AC 44) of Tamulpur district and Mangaldai (AC 44) of Darrang district. 50), TMC has fielded Narendra Kumar Pao from Dhemaji (ST) (AC 78) in Dhemaji district, Jiten Nag from Digboi (AC 84) in Tinsukia district and Dilip Moran from Makum (AC 85), Tapas Das from Upadharband (AC 115) in Cachar district, Katigorah. Has expressed confidence in Fazlur Rahman Laskar from (AC 116) and Shahjahan Laskar from Sonai (AC 119).
TMC trying to become third option apart from Congress and BJP
This is the first list in which the party has made a strong claim in various areas, especially in the Brahmaputra Valley, Bodoland region and Southern Assam (Barak Valley). Many candidates seem to be focusing on local issues and representation of communities. Assam TMC has congratulated all the candidates and asked them to move forward to serve the public. The party aims to present a third alternative to the BJP and Congress in Assam, especially in areas where ethnic and linguistic diversity is high.
