Mardaani 3 director Abhiraj Minawala shared his thoughts and experiences about the film. He said that when he read the script, the story shocked him more as a father than as a filmmaker. According to him, the film is not just an action drama but a story related to emotions and awareness.
Abhiraj told that ‘Mardaani’ has been a successful franchise, the strong foundation of which was laid in the first part. In such a situation, directing the third part was a big responsibility for him along with excitement. He said that there was definitely pressure, but he took it as a responsibility and took the story forward with his distinct voice.
The film also depicts the changing crime patterns of today’s times and the impact of social media. The director believes that many times crimes happen all around us, but due to lack of awareness we are unable to understand them. An attempt has been made to bring this feeling on screen.
Regarding the character of Shivani Shivaji Roy, she said that it is a symbol of a ‘super woman’. Every woman has the strength and sensitivity of Shivani, which is why the audience connects deeply with this character. The balance of action and emotion has been kept in mind in the film, so that the emotional aspect of the story remains strong.
Defining ‘Mardaani 3’ in 3 words, Abhiraj said- “Emotion, Power and Justice.”
