Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is coming to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will be on an official visit to India from tomorrow i.e. Friday 27th February to 2nd March 2026. This will be Prime Minister Carney’s first official visit to India.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will reach India’s financial capital Mumbai on February 27. In the next 2 days he will participate in various business programs. Apart from this, he will also interact with Indian and Canadian CEOs, industry and financial experts, academicians and representatives of Canadian pension funds based in India.
Will hold a meeting with PM Modi at Hyderabad House
Let us tell you that Prime Minister Carney will reach New Delhi on March 1 and on March 2, there will be extensive delegation level talks between the two Prime Ministers at Hyderabad House. The two leaders will also review the progress made so far in various areas of the India-Canada strategic partnership, building on their previous meetings in Kananaskis (June 2025) and Johannesburg (November 2025).
Will also participate in India-Canada CEO Forum
PM Modi and Mark Carney will also review the ongoing cooperation in key areas like trade and investment, energy, critical minerals, agriculture, education, research and innovation and People to People Connect. Apart from this, both the leaders will also exchange views on regional and global developments.
Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Carney will also participate in the India-Canada CEO Forum. This visit is being considered an important step towards normalization of India-Canada bilateral relations and restoration of renewed trust.
Now Prime Minister Mark Carney is making efforts to strengthen the relations between India and Canada, restore mutual trust and take cooperation to new heights.
