According to MATRIZE-IANS opinion poll, TMC may get 155 to 170 seats in the elections. According to the survey, the public can hand over power to Mamata Banerjee again but the number of seats she gets seems to be decreasing. In the assembly elections held in 2021, Trinamool Congress had won 213 seats. Its seats are seen decreasing in opinion polls. BJP seems to be gaining in opinion polls, in 2021 BJP had won 77 seats. BJP is expected to get 100 to 115 seats in this election. At the same time, AIMIM is expected to get 5-6 seats and others 0-1.
When will elections be held in Bengal?
Elections will be held in two phases in West Bengal. Voting in the first phase will be held on 23 April while voting in the second phase will be held on 29 April. The election results will be declared on May 4. After a long time, elections are being held in Bengal in only two phases. Earlier in 2021, voting was held in 8 phases in the state.
