Trading timings for different segments
BSE has released the time table for different market segments, which are as follows:
1. Equity Market
– Log-in: 10:15 am to 10:45 am.
– Block Deal Window (Morning): 10:45 to 11:00 am.
– Pre-Open Session: 11:00 am to 11:15 am.
– Normal Trading (T+1): 11:15 am to 03:30 pm.
– Normal Trading (T+0): 11:15 am to 01:30 pm.
– Closing session: 03:30 to 03:40 pm.
2. Currency and Commodity Derivatives
– Log-in time: 10:15 am to 11:00 am.
– Trading Timings: 11:00 AM to 03:30 PM.
– Trade Modification: You can make changes to your trade till 03:40 PM.
3. Equity Derivatives (F&O)
– Log-in: 10:15 am to 11:15 am.
– Trading: 11:15 am to 03:30 pm.
4. Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR)
– Log-in: 10:15 am to 11:00 am.
– Order Entry: 11:00 am to 11:08 am.
– Trading: 11:15 am to 03:30 pm.
Special time for IPO and new listing
If any company has recently been listed or has had its IPO, then the special pre-open session for them will run from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. After this there will be normal trading from 12:00 noon to 03:30 pm.
BSE has requested all market participants to participate enthusiastically in this mock session. This is a good opportunity for investors to understand the trading platform and practice their strategies without any financial risk on a Saturday holiday.
This session is especially useful for those new to trading apps or using third-party platforms. They can test their strategies and settings of the application without fear of any real loss. BSE has clarified that this time no new version of BOLT TWS will be released, only the stability of the system will be taken care of.
