Mohammad Aamir’s statement on Abhishek Sharma comes again, earlier he had said ‘Lappebaaz’

Mohammad Amir On Abhishek Sharma: Abhishek Sharma’s bat has shown to be a flop in the T20 World Cup 2026. Abhishek has scored only 15 runs in four matches. In the first three matches, Abhishek was out on zero consecutively. Amidst Abhishek’s poor form, a controversial statement by former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Aamir had come to light. Aamir had called Abhishek a ‘slogger’ i.e. ‘lappebaaz’.

Now Aamir has given another statement on Abhishek. However, this time Aamir’s tone appeared to be changing. Clarifying his previous statement, Aamir said that his intention was not to humiliate the Indian batsman.

Aamir’s tone changed

Talking about Abhishek Sharma on the show ‘Harna Mana Hai’, Mohammad Aamir said, “I was talking about him from the bowler’s point of view. I was talking about his technique. People felt bad because I used the word ‘slugger’.”

Aamir further said, “What I meant was that his technique is such that a good team or a group of good bowlers can trap him. Look at the 15 runs he scored, he scored all the runs from one side. The balls he hit were bad balls. But when Rabada started bowling well, he could not take advantage of it.”

Gave message to Abhishek

Aamir said, “As a senior player, if my message reaches him, I will tell him that your technique has been exposed in international cricket. If you show some patience and play the ball according to its ability, it would be good. He has the skill but it depends on how well he uses it. I said this in this context. People felt bad.”
