According to the report, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had a major influence in the selection of Mojtaba Khamenei. It is being said that the Assembly of Experts took this decision under pressure from IRGC. Mojtaba’s father and former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died when America and Israel launched a joint attack on Tehran. This attack took place on Saturday and the news of Khamenei’s death came out on the same day.

That means, after about 47 years, a situation has arisen in which a new Supreme Leader will be elected in Iran.
