More than 100 Indians stranded in Bahrain amid Iran war, families appeal for help

US-Israel-Iran War: Many Telugu families from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, who had gone to Bahrain amid Iran-Israel tension, are stuck there. These people, who arrived on tourist visa on February 24 for a four-day tour, are now staying in hotels and apartments in Mana, the capital of Bahrain. After the situation suddenly worsened, flights were cancelled, airspace was closed and even check-in counters were closed at the airport after the missile alert. Due to this the return of hundreds of Indians has been stopped.

Hyderabad resident Solomon Raj released a video in support of the Central Government and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been appealed for immediate help. In the video, he told that when he and his companions reached the airport to return, sounds of bombs and missiles were heard nearby. Many people who came to collect boarding passes were sent back.

Solomon Raj said that they are all staying in hotels now, but they are running out of money and the elderly need medicines. He said, “Our appeal is that the Government of India, Telangana and Andhra Government should evacuate us soon. The situation here is not good.” It is being told that the number of stranded tourists is more than a hundred. Many families have also released different videos and expressed their problems.

Allegation of not getting clear information from the embassy

The stranded people say that they are not getting clear and complete information even from the Indian Embassy. A tourist said that the embassy has advised only to stay in the hotel, but nothing was told about further plans. Especially the elderly and sick people are more troubled due to lack of money and medicines.

The Telangana government has already set up a control room for the Telugu people stranded in the Gulf countries. Andhra Pradesh government has also started help through APNRTS and advised some people to go to Muscat. Both the state governments along with the Central Government are in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs and are keeping an eye on the situation.

Many flights canceled at Hyderabad airport also

This incident has happened at a time when the closure of airspace in the Middle East has also affected India. Many flights have been canceled from Hyderabad Airport. Recently, people stranded in Dubai and Abu Dhabi also had to face similar problems. At present, all the tourists stranded in Bahrain are said to be safe in hotels, but their return does not seem possible until the situation becomes normal. His family sitting in India is constantly worried and is calling daily asking about his condition. Now all of them have only one demand that they should be brought back safely to India as soon as possible.
