He said that the Bill provides for a single composite license for various stages of nuclear fuel, from mining to waste disposal and thus a single company can control the mining and will be able to prepare the fuel, operate the reactor and dispose of the waste.
“Such concentration of control in a single company or corporate group will greatly increase the risk rather than curb it,” the Congress MP said. Earning profit will become the main objective of the entire process, while security will be compromised at every level.
