ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Player of the Tournament Nominees: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has now reached its final stage. 1. Will Jacques – England
England all-rounder Will Jacques played an important role in his team winning six out of eight matches in the T20 World Cup, in which Jacques was chosen player of the match four times. He scored a total of 226 runs in 8 matches in the tournament at a strike rate of 176.56. Besides, as an off-spin bowler, Jacques has also taken 9 wickets for the English team.
2. Sahibzada Farhan – Pakistan
Pakistan had a very disappointing performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, but the only Sahibzada Farhan shone for Pakistan in the entire tournament. In this tournament, Farhan scored 383 runs in 6 innings at an average of 76.60 and also made the record of scoring the most runs in a single T20 World Cup. Farhan has also become the first player to score two centuries in the same T20 World Cup. He scored centuries against Sri Lanka and Namibia.
3. Lungi Ngidi – South Africa
Lungi Ngidi was the most successful bowler for South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2026. He was successful in taking 12 wickets in the 7 matches played in the tournament. Ngidi started the tournament by taking 4 wickets against Canada, then took 3 wickets against Afghanistan. He also took three wickets in the Super Eight against West Indies. Even though he did not get a wicket against India, Ngidi gave only 15 runs in 4 overs.
4. Aiden Markram – South Africa
South African captain Aiden Markram had taken the Proteas team to the semi-finals on the basis of his excellent batting in the T20 World Cup 2026. He scored 286 runs in eight matches with the help of three half-centuries. However, the South African team, captained by Markram, was eliminated from the tournament after losing to New Zealand by 9 wickets in the semi-finals.
5. Rachin Ravindra – New Zealand
New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has made important contributions to the Kiwi team with bat as well as ball in this T20 World Cup. After the first Super-8 match against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain, Rachin gave New Zealand the lead in the match against Sri Lanka. He scored 32 runs and took 4/27 to restrict Sri Lanka to 107/8. In the next match against England, he took 3/19, but his team lost.
6. Shadley Van Schalkwyk – America
Even though America has been out of the group stage of T20 World Cup 2026, Shadley Van Schalkwyk performed amazingly in this tournament. This American fast bowler took a total of 13 wickets in just 4 matches. Van Schalkwyk started the T20 World Cup 2026 by taking 4 wickets against India on 7 February and he also took 4 wickets in the next match against Pakistan.
7. Tim Seifert – New Zealand
New Zealand’s explosive opening batsman Tim Seifert played a big role in taking the Kiwi team to the final of T20 World Cup 2026. He has scored a total of 274 runs in 8 matches. Seifert started the tournament with half-centuries against Afghanistan and UAE, but his inning of 58 runs in the semi-final against South Africa was the most important. Opener Seifert made a partnership of 117 runs with Finn Allen and the New Zealand team achieved the target of 170 runs within 13 overs.
8. Sanju Samson – India
Team India’s star wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson is in excellent form in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Samson performed consistently in India’s last two matches, for which he was chosen Player of the Match in both the matches. Samson scored unbeaten 97 runs in just 50 balls in the important Super-8 match against West Indies and then scored a quick 89 runs in 42 balls in the semi-final against England to lead Team India to victory.
