Party leaders are elated over the victory of the BJP alliance in the Maharashtra civic elections. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday (January 16) congratulated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as well as party workers for the victory. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance has won most of the 29 municipal corporations, including the country’s financial capital Mumbai, by huge margins.
According to PTI report, Union Minister Gadkari said that the path of progress of Maharashtra will become stronger under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In a post on Facebook, he congratulated Fadnavis, Shinde, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan, state revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and all party workers.
Expressed gratitude to the people of Maharashtra
Gadkari said he was grateful to the people of the state, who reposed confidence in the BJP-led grand alliance government by giving priority to development. The senior BJP leader further said that this victory will provide further momentum to the Mahayuti government, which is moving rapidly on the path of development. The Union Minister said that I am confident that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra’s journey of progress will get further strengthened.
‘With the joy of this victory, our responsibilities increased further’
He said that the trust and love of the people is the biggest asset of BJP and it should make every possible effort to live up to the expectations of the people, which BJP will definitely fulfill. Nitin Gadkari said that this victory has been possible only because of the tireless hard work of all our workers. Public trust and love is our biggest asset. Along with the joy of this victory, our responsibilities have also increased. We must make every effort to live up to the public’s expectations, and we will definitely do so.
