Bharatiya Janata Party has got a new national president. Senior leader Nitin Nabin has formally taken charge of the party. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nitin Nabin and called him the new president of BJP. In his address, PM Modi recalled the long organizational struggle and expansion of the party. He said that BJP has traveled from zero to the top.
The Prime Minister said that BJP has traveled from zero to the peak under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. After this, the organization expanded extensively during the time of Venkaiah Naidu and Nitin Gadkari. Under the leadership of Rajnath Singh, the party formed the government at the Center on its own, while under the leadership of Amit Shah, the BJP formed governments in many states and returned to power at the Center for the second time. During the tenure of JP Nadda, the party became stronger from Panchayat to Parliament.
Nitin Nabin is now my boss- PM Modi
Describing himself as a BJP worker first and foremost, PM Modi said, ‘This is his biggest identity and pride’. He said that Nitin Nabin is no longer just his president, but he is his boss. Modi made it clear that Nitin Nabin’s responsibility is not limited to BJP only, but maintaining coordination with all the allies of NDA will also be an important role for him.
Appreciation of Nitin Nabin’s personality
Praising the personality of Nitin Nabin, the Prime Minister said that whoever came in contact with him has praised his simplicity, spontaneity and practicality. He said that the coming 25 years are very decisive for India, because in this period a developed India has to be built and BJP’s role in it will be historic. PM Modi also said, ‘Nitin Nabin comes from that generation, which has seen economic, social and technological changes with their own eyes. This experience makes them capable for future challenges. He reminded that this year, 75 years of the establishment of Jan Sangh are being completed and BJP was born from the same ideology.
PM Modi called BJP family
In his address, the Prime Minister described BJP as not just a political party, but a culture and a family. He said that relationships are more important than membership in BJP. Here the president changes, but the ideals do not change. Leadership changes, but the direction remains the same. PM Modi said that BJP’s thinking is national, but its connection is at the local level. The roots of the party are deep underground, hence it stands strong in every phase.
