In this meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence, JDU President Lalan Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary were also present along with Nitish Kumar. After the meeting, all three leaders were seen leaving the Prime Minister’s residence together.

Before meeting the Prime Minister, Nitish Kumar, Lalan Singh and Samrat Chaudhary also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Samrat Chaudhary was also seen leaving Nitish Kumar’s residence. Nitish Kumar reached Delhi on Sunday on a two-day visit. This is his first visit to Delhi after taking oath. During this time, his meeting with many top leaders of NDA including Prime Minister Modi was considered fixed.

Indications of discussion on cabinet expansion also
According to sources, during this period the expansion of Bihar Cabinet was also discussed. It is expected that the process of cabinet expansion will start after Makar Sankranti. A post has become vacant due to the resignation of BJP leader Nitin Nabin from the cabinet after becoming the National Working President, on which a new face has to be appointed.

Speculation on Nishant Kumar’s entry into politics
There is also a possibility of discussion in the meeting regarding the entry of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar into politics. JDU working president Sanjay Kumar Jha has already said that there is a positive atmosphere in the party regarding Nishant’s entry into public life.
