Cyber war means attacking the important services of a country through the Internet and digital systems. In this, hackers or cyber experts target the government network, banking system, electricity grid, air traffic control and military systems of the enemy country. If these systems stop then the system of the entire country can disintegrate in no time.

During cyber war, hackers attack in many different ways. These include attacks like malware, viruses, ransomware and distributed denial of service (DDoS). Through these techniques, a country’s website, server or network is overloaded or data is stolen by entering it. Many times important data is deleted or locked due to which the system may come to a complete halt.

If there is a cyber attack on a country’s electricity system, banking network or railway control system, it can have a major impact on its economy and security. Banking services may stop, ATMs may stop working, flight and train operations may be affected. Even military communication systems may be affected. Because of this, huge damage can be caused to the enemy country without firing a single bullet.

Governments are preparing advanced security systems, firewalls and cyber defense teams to prevent such attacks. It is also important for common people to use strong passwords, secure networks and updated software. Cyber war is a war of modern times which has the potential to cause serious damage to a country even without weapons.
