So far, more than 1,200 organizations have joined this platform, which includes security agencies, state police, banks, telecom companies, UPI and payment service providers and platforms like WhatsApp.

Fraud worth more than a thousand crores stopped

Based on the information shared through DIP, many transactions were stopped in time and alerts were sent to the people. According to the government, this has prevented financial fraud worth more than Rs 1,000 crore so far. Besides, WhatsApp has also closed about 28 lakh accounts linked to shared mobile numbers.
