Litton Das Given Sharp Reply On Salman Ali Agha Controversial Run Out: The chaos that broke out in the second match between Pakistan and Bangladesh on March 13 is showing no sign of calming down. The way Salman Ali Aga was run out during this match has become a matter of controversy. Now Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Liton Das has given a sharp reply to the ongoing controversy regarding Salman’s run out. Although Salman was given out as per the rules of the game, questions are being raised on the spirit of the game because of the way it was executed by Mehdi Hasan Miraz.
How was Salman Ali Aga run out?
This incident happened in the 39th over of Pakistani innings when Salman Ali Aga was building a strong partnership between Mohammad Rizwan. On the fourth ball of this over, Rizwan played the ball to the right side of the bowler. Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz tried to stop the ball with his foot in the follow-through and collided with Salman Aga standing at the non-striker’s end. The ball stopped near him and Agha was outside the crease. During this, he picked up the ball and tried to bend to return it to Miraj, but the Bangladesh captain picked up the ball and hit it on the wicket by throwing it underarm on the stumps of the non-striker’s end.
After Miraj’s appeal, on-field umpire Tanveer Ahmed sent the decision to the third umpire. After watching the replays, the TV umpire found that Salman had not kept his bat inside the crease, after which he was declared run out. However, Pakistan ultimately defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.
