According to the Meteorological Department, fog may persist in Western UP till 28 December, in Punjab till 27 December, in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh till 28 December. Apart from this, fog may remain in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh till December 29.

Cold day in UP today
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in many areas of Eastern UP till December 28 and in some places from December 29 to 31. Dense fog can be seen in Uttar Pradesh in the night and morning on 28th and 29th December. The Meteorological Department said that cold winds are going to torment the people of UP more in the coming two days. Not only this, the minimum temperature may also drop by 2 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, today on Christmas, many cities of Eastern UP along with Western UP will be wrapped in a white blanket of dense fog. Cold day weather will prevail today in Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Mirzapur, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabirnagar, Basti, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Barabanki, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly and Rampur.
Westerly winds increase cold in Bihar
The westerly winds blowing in Bihar, adjacent to Uttar Pradesh, are forcing people to hide in their homes. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no relief due to these winds till December 28. Cold day like conditions persist in Gaya, Nalanda and Sheikhpura districts of Bihar. The maximum temperature in Patna today is likely to be around 25 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 12 degrees.
