Cold wave and fog continue in North India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a strong possibility of dense fog in the morning hours over parts of Central India, Northeast India, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 2-3 days. Apart from this, cold day conditions are likely to prevail in some areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh during the next 2-3 days.
Where will it rain?
There is a possibility of cold wave in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Odisha, North Interior Karnataka during January 10-11, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar during January 10 and Rajasthan during January 11-14. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of heavy rain in many parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka on January 10-11.
Delhi weather
According to IMD, cold wave conditions are expected to persist in some parts of North and North-West India including Delhi-NCR in the coming days. On Friday, the coldest time of this winter was recorded in Delhi, where the minimum temperature reached its lowest level till date. Light rain also occurred at many places.
Hope of relief in UP
According to the Meteorological Department, people of Uttar Pradesh are likely to get relief from severe cold and fog in the next 2-3 days. Due to sunshine there will be some reduction in fog and cold. There are also chances of drizzle in many areas. Light fog will be seen in the morning in the coming days in the capital Lucknow and surrounding areas.
How is the weather in Himachal
Due to cold wave in Himachal Pradesh, the minimum temperature at many places has reached minus. Severe cold wave was seen in Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur. There was dense fog in Bilaspur on Friday. Whereas in Palampur, Solan, Manali, Narkanda, Reckong Peo and Tabo the minimum mercury was recorded in minus. The minimum mercury in the capital Shimla and Samdo remained the same at 1.6 degrees Celsius.
