North Korea has tested a nuclear capable rocket launcher. According to the report, this test was of Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS). The Korean Central News Agency reported that a 600 mm ultra-precision rocket launcher was used in this exercise. Several rocket launchers and two artillery units were involved in this drill.
It was told that these rockets targeted an island in the Eastern Sea, which was about 360 kilometers away. The striking distance of this weapon is said to be around 420 kilometers. According to AFP report, Kim Jong Un said that this is a very deadly but attractive weapon and this will give the enemies an idea of ​​its power. After this testing, South Korea called it a provocative action and said that it is a violation of the rules of the United Nations Security Council. Seoul has demanded Pyongyang to stop such tests immediately. This test has taken place at a time when joint military exercises are going on between South Korea and America. This exercise named Freedom Shield will continue till March 19, in which about 18,000 South Korean soldiers are involved.
