Is the era of module phones about to come? This question is being asked because Techno has now shown the concept of a new modular phone. In this, Techno will launch a phone thinner than iPhone Air. Instead of providing all the features together, the company will bring add-ons in it. That is, if you want it for photography then you will get a separate camera lens in it, if you want long battery life then you will get extra battery. Even a detachable AI module will be provided in it.
Google also tried to launch such a phone
Before Techno, Google had also tried to bring such a phone. Google wanted to bring the ultimate customizable phone in Project Ara, in which users would have the option to swap hardware, but this phone was never launched. Similarly, LG and Motorola also tried to make modular phones, but it was not a commercial hit. In recent times, companies like Fairphone and Nothing are trying to make phones with similar concepts. However, people need a device that can last long and they do not want the hassle of repeatedly adding and removing accessories. Therefore, there are challenges regarding the success of module phones.
What new does Techno want to do?
In a way, Google’s Project Era and Motorola’s project have been merged together in the concept of Techno. Techno will launch a phone with a thickness of 4.5mm. It is difficult to adjust the battery and other hardware in such a thin phone. Therefore Techno will provide an external battery pack with it. In this way, a total of 9 magnetic modules will be launched with the phone, which will fulfill camera, communication, gaming and other needs. All these modules will be attached to the phone with the help of magnets. For this, a special layout will be made at the back of the phone.
