According to reports, after the arrival of the new feature of WhatsApp, users will be able to make audio and video calls from WhatsApp Web only. For this, they will not need the desktop app of WhatsApp and they will be able to make calls directly from the browser. This feature will support one-to-one as well as group calls. Right now work on this feature is going on and no information has been revealed about when it will be rolled out for the users.

Once calling support is rolled out, call notifications will be enabled by default. Users will receive voice and video call notifications right within the browser, even if their chat window is closed. The user will be given all the controls to manage the notifications. If the user makes any changes in the settings on the web version, these changes will not be applied on the mobile. That means users will be able to select different settings on both the platforms.

To celebrate the New Year, WhatsApp has brought a new sticker pack. In this, users will be able to share stickers celebrating the New Year with their friends and groups without any fuss. Apart from this, new video call effects have also been rolled out. During a video call, the user can access these by tapping on the effect option. These include effects like fireworks, confetti and star animation. Also the animated confetti reaction is back. Now users will be able to react to messages with animated confetti.
