The body of student leader Sharif Usman Hadi, who reached Dhaka from Singapore amid the ongoing violence in Bangladesh, has been laid to rest in the Dhaka University campus. Lakhs of people gathered at his funeral. During this time, Chief Advisor of the interim government Mohammad Yunus also attended Hadi’s funeral. Namaz-e-Janaza was offered on the southern plaza of Parliament. At present, tension still persists in Dhaka University and other areas.
According to ‘Dhaka Tribune’, Mohammad Yunus remembered Hadi in his last farewell. Yunus said, ‘Where thousands of people have gathered today. The people of Bangladesh present in the country and abroad are waiting to hear about Hadi.
He said, ‘Dear Hadi, we have not come here to say goodbye to you. You reside in our hearts. As long as Bangladesh exists, you will remain a part of this nation. You taught us how to approach people with humility. How to express views without hurting anyone. How to run an election campaign. We accept this lesson. Let us resolve to implement this. We will not bow down before anyone. Will keep our heads held high in front of the world. Will fulfill the promise made to the public under any circumstances.

Who was Sharif Osman Hadi
