Pakistan-Afghanistan war is not stopping! Why did Shahbaz Sharif suddenly reach Army Headquarters?

PAK-Afghanistan War: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached the country’s Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Friday. There he was given information about the recent clashes on the border with Afghanistan.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Sharif highly praised the professionalism of the Pakistani Army in preventing and retaliating against attacks in the border areas.

‘Open war between Pakistan and Afghanistan’

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif said that Pakistan is in an open war with Afghanistan. He said that this fight between Pakistan and Afghanistan has become the biggest and most dangerous conflict since the ceasefire between Qatar in October.

History of both the countries and increasing tension on the border

Pakistan and Afghanistan have a long and complex history, dating back to the creation of Pakistan in 1947. Despite close social, ethnic and economic ties between the two countries, relations have often been tense and have sometimes reached armed confrontation. In the last few months, many small conflicts have taken place on the border of both the countries. The recent clash is considered to be the most serious and dangerous encounter so far.

Strong message against Taliban and TTP

On February 27, the military leadership gave a very important briefing to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the current situation of the ongoing open war with Afghanistan. In this, complete details of the increasing tension and military actions on the border were presented. In a statement issued from the Prime Minister’s Office after the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif clearly said that the growing nexus between ‘Fitna al-Khawarij’ (TTP) and the Afghan Taliban regime will no longer be tolerated. He praised the capability of the Pakistani Army, which foiled their plans by carrying out direct air strikes on Taliban strongholds like Kabul and Kandahar.

While on one hand Taliban is now talking about coming to the negotiating table after this fierce shelling, on the other hand Shahbaz Sharif considering it as an action against Pakistan, gave complete freedom to his army to give a befitting reply to any provocation.
