Pakistan announced 15-member team amid boycott of T20 World Cup, Babar Azam got a chance

Amid reports of boycott of the 2026 T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member team for the tournament. Former captain Babar Azam has also got a place in the T20 World Cup Pakistan team. Babar was out of the team for a long time, but considering his experience in the World Cup, the board has brought him back in the team. Pakistan led by Salman Aga will play its first World Cup match on 7 February. T20 World Cup 2026 is going to be played in India and Sri Lanka. In such a situation, Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka only.

Salman Ali Aga (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Mohammad Nafe (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wicketkeeper), Saeem Ayub, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Usman Tariq.
