Pakistan got bumper prize money for winning Asia Cup, Pak PM showered money; the amount will blow your mind

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday announced a special cash prize of Rs 10 million (PKR) for the members of the U19 Asia Cup champion team. Pakistan had registered a spectacular victory against Team India captained by Ayush Mhatre in the final played on Sunday.

The cash prize money was announced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan at a reception held for the team and officials in Islamabad. He also praised the performance of the team. Team mentor and manager Sarfaraz Ahmed told the media after the reception that the Prime Minister has announced a cash reward of Rs 10 million (about US$36,000) for each player.

Every player got Rs 1 crore each

Pakistani Prime Minister announced a prize money of Rs 1 crore (Pakistani Rupee) for each player, in Indian currency, each player has received around Rs 32 lakh.

Sarfaraz said that he is enjoying working with a group of talented players who have a great future in the game. Head coach Shahid Anwar attributed the victory to the long process of selecting the team and giving each player a lot of experience in 50-over cricket.

Anwar said, “This process started in June, when we selected about 70 players after the trials and then reduced it to 20. Most of these players were then given the opportunity to play 50-over cricket at the domestic level.”

Pakistan won the final by 191 runs

In the final, Ayush Mhatre won the toss and decided to bowl first. Pakistan’s opening batsman Sameer Minhas played a historic inning of 172 runs. In this inning played in 113 balls, Manhas hit 9 sixes and 17 fours. Pakistan had set a target of 348 runs for India to win. The entire Indian team was bundled out for 156 runs. Top order batsmen in the form of Vaibhav Suryavanshi (26), Ayush Mhatre (2), Aaron George (16), Vihaan Malhotra (7) were complete flops.

Pakistani batsman Sameer Minhas was chosen the best player of the final and tournament. This was the second time that he played an inning of more than 170 runs in this edition.
