Actually, a candidate named Chalaki Raju had committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Pippadpally of Raicode mandal of Sangareddy district. But now he won as Sarpanch by a margin of 9 votes. After the death of Congress-backed Chalakiraju, there is a possibility of re-election here.

Daughter-in-law defeated mother-in-law by 18 votes

Another interesting information came to light in this election when a woman named Rama defeated her mother-in-law Narasamma by a margin of 18 votes in Ghan Shyamadas Nagar of Palakurthi Mandal of Peddapalli district.

Dead candidates who won the election

Palle Latha, who contested from Ward 8 in Mancharlagudem of Shankarpalli mandal in Rangareddy district, won as the ward member. Lata died of a heart attack on 7 December during the election campaign.

The BRS-backed candidate who lost the first phase of Panchayat elections died of a heart attack. Chenangoni Katamraj lost the sarpanch election in Kishtapuram of Munugodu mandal. Katamraj, who was seriously ill, suffered chest pain and died.

The rebel Congress candidate won in the hometown of Congress MLA Yashasvi Reddy. Rebel candidate Mahendra emerged victorious in Palakurthi MLA Yashasvi Reddy’s hometown Cherlapalem.

Father defeated son, became sarpanch for the third time

Father defeated son in Jhansilingapur Panchayat elections of Ramayanpet mandal of Medic district. Father Ramkishtaiah defeated son Venkatesh. Congress supporter Ramkishtaiya became the Sarpanch of Jhansilingapur for the third time.
