PCB offers head coach to Sarfaraz Ahmed, if this happens then a new ‘world record’ will be created

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has offered former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to become the head coach of Pakistan’s Test team. Now PCB is waiting for Sarfaraz’s reply. If Sarfaraz becomes the head coach of Pakistan’s Test team, he will become the youngest person to hold this responsibility.

38 year old Sarfaraz Ahmed has played in all three formats for Pakistan. PCB is very happy with his junior level work. In such a situation, Pakistan Board has offered Sarfaraz the post of head coach of the Test team. The PCB is waiting for confirmation from 38-year-old Sarfaraz to take over the post. If Sarfaraz accepts this post, he will become the youngest head coach.

Pakistan has a very busy schedule of Test matches this year under the ICC World Test Championship, in which two Test matches will be played in Bangladesh in May. After this, Pakistan team will tour West Indies and England. Pakistan played its last Test series on its soil last year against South Africa, which was a 1-1 draw. In that series, former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood played the role of interim head coach.

Let us tell you that Pakistan Cricket Board is running with different head coaches in white ball cricket and red ball cricket. Currently, Mike Hesson is the head coach of Pakistan’s ODI and T20 International team. Now Sarfaraz has been offered the post of head coach of the Test team. Earlier Azhar Mahmood was the head coach of Pakistan’s Test team. However, he was appointed interim head coach.

Sarfaraz Ahmed’s international career

38 year old Sarfaraz Ahmed has played 54 Tests, 117 ODIs and 61 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. He has 3031 runs in Test, 2315 runs in ODI and 818 runs in T20 International. Sarfaraz has also been the captain of Pakistan in all three formats. It was under the captaincy of Sarfaraz that Pakistan won the 2017 Champions Trophy title.
