Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Israel on a two-day visit. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha member and national president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi has given a sharp reaction to this visit. Owaisi criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said that he will be remembered for the massacre in Gaza. He termed Netanyahu a war criminal and alleged that an international warrant was issued against him. Owaisi also claimed that after this visit of Prime Minister Modi, America can take military action against Iran.
Owaisi said that Prime Minister Modi’s hug with Netanyahu is contrary to India’s traditional policy, under which India has been talking about the rights of the Palestinian people and their support for a long time. However, there has been no official response on this from the Central Government. India has reiterated several times in the past that it favors balanced relations with both Israel and Palestine and supports a two-state solution. This visit of Prime Minister Modi is taking place at a time when there is tension in West Asia.
