In the current session of Parliament, the political temperature is continuously increasing due to uproar, no-confidence motion and the role of Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju even called Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi ‘the most dangerous person for India’s security’ and alleged that his behavior is childish and irresponsible.
Rijiju warns Rahul Gandhi of action
In an interview given to news agency ANI, Kiren Rijiju said, ‘Rahul Gandhi is associated with anti-India forces. He meets Naxalites, extremists, thinkers and people like George Soros in India and abroad. An opposition leader represents the entire opposition, but going outside the House and calling people traitors, staging a dramatic protest and insisting on reading from an unpublished book, all this is childlike behaviour.
We have never seen such a Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the history of India. He always comes into contact with people who work against the country. Appropriate action will be taken against them in the coming time.
Rijiju upset on questions related to Epstein files
Kiren Rijiju also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s allegation in which he had linked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name to the Epstein files. Rijiju said, ‘First think why Rahul Gandhi’s followers do not take this seriously? Because they speak without any evidence. If the Prime Minister has met anyone or has any document, then present it. They are forcefully taking the name of the Prime Minister without any basis. This only leads to disappointment and frustration.
Rijiju also talked about the ongoing uproar in Parliament. He agreed that there will always be noise and uproar in parliamentary democracy because every party wants to push its agenda forward. But he said that along with the uproar, the actual work should also be seen.
Taking a dig at the opposition, he said, ‘When we were in opposition, we did not throw papers at the speaker, did not take banners to the ruling side. This is why I am troubled that today’s opposition has become so incontinent.
Targeted at Congress through Mani Shankar
On Mani Shankar Aiyar’s recent statements, Rijiju said that earlier there were strong and mature leaders in Congress, but now the party has completely become like Rahul Gandhi. The people living around him have also become like him. Rijiju said, ‘We could not have even imagined that Congress would become like this. Remaining the same leader even after losing three times in a row. No BJP leader will cease to be a leader after losing thrice.
Speaker praised on no-confidence motion
On Congress’s no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rijiju praised the Speaker. He said that the job of the Speaker is to run the proceedings of the House, carry forward government work and give the opposition a chance to speak. The way the opposition entered the Speaker’s chamber and demonstrated, Om Birla ji showed great restraint and leniency. If there was a speaker like Somnath Chatterjee, perhaps he would have suspended everyone.
