Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has raised questions on the government on issues related to national security. He met former Army Chief General M.M. Citing an article based on an unpublished autobiography of Naravane, he demanded discussion on security matters related to China and Pakistan. This issue has been continuously heated in the Parliament for the last two days. On Tuesday, when Rahul Gandhi again tried to raise the topic of military confrontation with China, there was a huge uproar in the Lok Sabha between the ruling party and the opposition.
Amidst this entire controversy, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir S.P. Vaid’s statement has come to light. While giving advice to General Naravane on social media platform X, he said that a former army chief should have shown more wisdom. He wrote that sensitive things that come to light while serving in the army should often be buried with the grave. If everyone starts making such things public then governments may get into trouble.
Former Army Chief, General MM Naravane, should have known better. Much of what men in uniform carry is meant to go with us to the grave. If everyone started talking, governments would tremble.

Rahul Gandhi raised demand
Rahul Gandhi said in Lok Sabha that the article based on General Naravane’s book should be verified. Placing it on the table of the House, he said that this is a serious matter related to the national security of the country, in which there is a reference to neighboring countries like China and Pakistan. He said that this issue is also related to the President’s address. On behalf of the government, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed objection to Rahul Gandhi’s statement. He said that when arrangements have already been given by Aasan, it is not right to raise that issue again. On this, Congress leader KC Venugopal alleged that the minister is misleading the House.
Mallikarjun Kharge targeted
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also targeted the government on this issue. He asked what is there in General Naravane’s book, due to which the big leaders of Modi government are scared. He alleged that the government is avoiding discussion on important issues like national security. Kharge said that even after 20 soldiers were martyred in Galwan Valley in 2020, the government gave a clean chit to China, which is worrying for the country.
