The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that Rahul Gandhi has been exposed after former Army Chief General MM Naravane shared the statement of the publisher of his book ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ on social media. BJP says that the Congress leader should apologize for presenting an ‘imaginary fact’ before the country.
BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi supported General Naravane’s post on
Penguin Random House India (PRHI) on Monday said it has the exclusive publishing rights of General Naravane’s memoir ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ and the book has not been published yet.
Referring to Naravane’s post, Trivedi said, ‘With former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane supporting Penguin’s tweet (ex-post), Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to tell a fictional narrative in the Lower House has completely collapsed.’
The BJP Rajya Sabha member alleged that this also proves that the opposition leader and his party Congress used the Lok Sabha platform to create doubts in the matter of national security for their ‘petty politics’.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad also criticized Rahul Gandhi and demanded that he apologize to the country and also in the Lok Sabha for using the ‘fake book’ to mislead the House. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demanded that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla take steps to cancel Gandhi’s membership from the House to protect democracy from ‘forces conspiring to break the country’.
