Railways has achieved a big milestone in the matter of high-speed trains in the country. In fact, the trial run of the much awaited new Vande Bharat Sleeper train took place on the New Delhi Mumbai route (30 December), in which the Vande Bharat Sleeper has created a new history by reaching a speed of more than 180 kilometers per hour.
Let us tell you that Railways did this feat on Madhopur-Kota-Nagda section in Ratlam. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself has shared the video of this achievement on social media and now this video is going viral on social media also. After this successful test, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav termed the new Vande Bharat train as a new generation train and described it as the beginning of a new era of new travel in sleeper trains.
Railway Minister shared the video
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, while sharing a 24-second video of this successful test on X, wrote that today the Commissioner of Railway Safety inspected the trial run of Vande Bharat Sleeper. The train ran at a speed of 180 km/hr on the track of Kota-Nagda section. The water test showed the technical features of this new generation train. The video has been filmed from inside the train, in which the speed is seen reaching 182 km/hour on the mobile screen.

not a drop of water fell
Let us also tell you that there is another special thing about this successful test and that is that despite the slide of 182 km per second, not a single drop of water fell from any of the 4 glasses kept in the tray and one of these glasses was kept above the 3 glasses, which shows that the new Vande Bharat sleeper train will be completely stable and balanced in terms of vibration.
The currently running Vande Bharat trains, which are all chair car category, have a design speed of 180 km per hour but their maximum operational speed is only 160 km per hour. However, it is also true that the average speed of a train also depends on the geometry of the track, maintenance and the number of stoppages on the route.
According to sources in the Railway Ministry, the time for the launch of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train has also come very close and it is possible that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will start running on the track carrying common passengers in the next month i.e. in January in the new year.
