Robot Arrested: A robot has been ‘arrested’ in China. Yes, you read it right. In many countries, robots have not yet come out of the lab and into real life, but in China, robots have come out on the streets and now one robot has even been arrested. This robot had misbehaved with an elderly woman standing on the roadside, due to which the woman got angry. In the end the police had to come and intervene.
What is the matter?
This case is related to Unitree G1 robot. It has been taken out on the streets to promote an education centre. This robot is equipped with advanced sensors and cameras to find the way. The matter started when this robot went to a 70-year-old woman standing on the roadside in Macau city. The woman was lost in her phone and suddenly seeing the robot near her, she got scared and started shouting at the robot. Within some time the police reached there and took the robot with them. The woman was not injured in this incident, but as a precautionary measure she has also been taken to the hospital.
Why did the robot stop near the woman?
It has been said in many reports that this robot was waiting for the woman to move out of its way. When the woman did not move out of the way, the robot stood at one place, due to which the woman got scared. Later the police ‘arrested’ the robot and took it with itself. The video of this incident is also being seen widely on social media. After some time, the police released the robot and advised its owner to use it carefully.
