What is the benefit of archiving the app?
As soon as you archive an app, its code, resources and temporary files are removed and only your login information, settings and app data are stored. Archiving does not delete the app but it gets replaced with the lite archived version. With this, any app takes less space and the phone’s storage becomes free. After this, when you restore the app, it will download its latest version from Play Store and you will get the same old settings and progress. When you use the app again, you will not feel that you ever archived it. After archiving, the app takes 50-60 percent less space.
Easy to archive and restore
It is very easy to archive or restore any app. For this, go to the phone’s settings and go to Apps. Here you can archive any app as per your wish. After the archive is done, the app icon will be visible on your phone, but it will be dim and a cloud icon will start appearing on it. To restore it, tap on the app icon and select the restore option. By doing this the app will be restored.
