Vaibhavi’s first big break came from the film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. The song ‘Dholi Taro Dhol Baje’ from this film proved to be the first big hit of his career. The choreography of this song was so brilliant that it even got the National Film Award. This success gave him a chance to work with big stars of Bollywood.
Won award with the song ‘Kajra Re’
After this, Vaibhavi spread the magic of her art in many superhit films. The song ‘O Ri Chori’ from the 2001 film ‘Lagaan’ was another memorable moment of his career. Then the song ‘Kajra Re’ from the 2005 film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ made him popular in every household. It was really a fun experience for people to see Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan dancing under his direction in this song. Vaibhavi Merchant also choreographed the song ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ from Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’. In this song, Salman Khan was seen dancing with his hit moves under the direction of Vaibhavi. Not only this, Vaibhavi choreographed Deepika’s dance moves in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Pathan’ so beautifully that it instantly became the audience’s favourite.
