Salman Khan’s father and veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to the hospital on 17 February 2026. Since then fans have been praying for Salim Khan’s speedy recovery. Now Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist i.e. Aamir Khan has shared the health update of Salim Khan.

Actually Aamir Khan had come to meet Salim Khan in the hospital. After inquiring about the well-being of Salman Khan’s father, the actor spoke to the media and told that Salim is still in the ICU. However, Aamir assured everyone that Salim Sahab is recovering and can return home soon. Aamir Khan said, “I had gone to meet Salim Sahab. We are all praying that he gets well as soon as possible. Because he was in the ICU, I could not meet him personally. I was sitting with his family. Alvira ji told me that his health is improving. We are all praying and praying that he comes home once again.”

Why was Salim Khan admitted to the hospital?
Earlier, Dr. Jalil Parkar, who was treating Salim Khan, had shared an update on his health. He told the media, “There was a slight brain hemorrhage. A procedure called DSA was done this morning, no surgery was required. He is still on the ventilator. Hopefully, by tomorrow, he will be taken off the ventilator. Considering his age, recovery will take more time. He is fine, his condition is stable… Overall, he is doing very well.”

Explaining why Salim Khan was put on the ventilator, he said, “After the initial diagnosis and medication, we felt that he needed ICU care. We put him on the ventilator because we wanted to do some tests. He was put on the ventilator as a safeguard so that his condition does not worsen.”
