These days Samsung is working on its Galaxy Z Fold 8 smartphone. It can be launched in the second quarter of this year. A recent report states that Samsung can provide a crease-free display in it. This means that after unfolding it, no crease will be visible in the middle of the display. A similar display is expected to be found in Apple’s first foldable iPhone. OLED layer made by Samsung will be used in both these phones, but there will be a difference in the display of both.

According to leaks, Samsung will use the crease-free OLED panel showcased at CES 2026 in its Galaxy Z Fold 8. On the other hand, Apple is considering using a different version of it. While Apple will use glass for the structural support layer, Samsung has chosen a metal plate for it, which will provide strength and durability.

If reports are to be believed, this Samsung foldable phone can have an 8-inch OLED main display and a 6.5-inch OLED cover display. Talking about camera setup, 200MP + 50MP + 12MP setup can be given in its rear, while 10MP sensors can be added on both the displays for selfie and video calls. The Fold 8 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which will be built on a 3nm process and will be paired with 16GB of RAM and at least 256GB of storage. This phone will come with an armor aluminum frame and it has got IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. There is every possibility of getting a side mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery pack.
