Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC), passing a unanimous resolution in the board meeting held on March 10, has recommended ban on the entry of non-Sanatanis in 47 temples including Kedarnath, Badrinath. This proposal has been sent to the state government, where a final decision will be taken on it.

The committee says that this decision has been taken with the aim of maintaining the sanctity and eternal traditions of the temples. According to BKTC, Chardham Yatra is not just tourism but a sacred journey associated with faith and religious rules, in which it is necessary to follow traditions.
