Sensex Nifty Stock Market: Today was a very turbulent day for the Indian stock market. First a big fall and then a sudden bounce, the bank surprised the market leaders including investors. The stock market currently closed on the green mark in a session full of sharp ups and downs. At close, the Sensex was 301.93 points or 0.36 per cent higher at 83,878.17, and the Nifty was 106.95 points or 0.42 per cent higher at 25,790.25. About 1365 shares advanced, 2561 shares declined, and 158 shares remained unchanged.
