For this reason, on Friday, December 26, the main benchmarks of the Indian stock market, Sensex and Nifty 50, were expected to start with a slight decline.
On the other hand, Asian stock markets saw a slight rise despite less trading on Friday. Especially the stock markets of Japan and South Korea opened with gains, while many other Asian markets remained closed due to holidays. Initial signals from GIFT Nifty were mixed but slightly positive for the Indian market. GIFT Nifty was seen trading around 26,143 levels, down 33 points (0.13%) from its previous close.
