Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: Market turmoil continues! Sensex jumps 300 points, NIFTY crosses 25850

Sensex Today, Stock Market LIVE Updates: Good morning, welcome to ET NOW Swadesh’s blog for live markets coverage. The Federal Reserve has cut interest rates by 0.25 bps for the third consecutive time on Wednesday. After this, and with signs of no major change in rates for some time ahead, a positive environment has been created in the global markets. For this reason, the Indian stock markets—Sensex and Nifty 50—are likely to have a strong start on Thursday, December 11.

Gift Nifty trends are also showing that the Indian stock market may have a strong start today. GIFT Nifty was trading around 25,966 levels, which is 131 points (0.5%) higher than the previous closing price of Nifty futures.

On the other hand, the last trading day, Wednesday, December 10, was weak for the Indian stock market. The market closed down for the third consecutive session as global cues were mixed ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s decision.

Sensex touched a high of 85,020.34 by gaining 354 points during the day, but later this gain did not last and the market came down. At the end, the Sensex closed at 84,391.27, down 275 points from its day’s high by 629 points. At the same time, Nifty 50 also fell by 82 points and closed at 25,758.
